These are some of my favorite stories I have shot and edited.
Boonville's Sixth Man
It’s a story of growth and acceptance... of how basketball helped the life of one Boonville basketball manager -- and how that boy changed the attitude of the season of the Boonville Pirates basketball team.
Nathan has Down Syndrome, but doesn’t let that interfere with his love of Pirate basketball -- and his devotion to help his high school team.
I shot and edited this package with reporter Michael Rosenhouse.
Columbia's Fastest Kid
From underdog to a national champion, Chas Barbee went to nationals an unknown -- and left with high hopes for the upcoming track season.
I was enough to get home video of Chas winning the final race, and incorporated it in the story.
Teaming Up for a Cause
Columbia has two things unique to the town -- a university that has an impressive football team and a hospital that some kids call home.
So the two teamed up, with the help of two women devoted to both organizations. Each boy and girl at the children’s hospital got a autographed pillowcase handmade by a devoted fan -- and were surprised when they saw who was delivering them.
I shot and edited this story with reporter Liz Gelardi.
Columbia's Body Builders
One played high school baseball. The other football. All athletes have to do it at some point in their lives -- lift weights. These two athletes not only lift weights, they made it their sport after high school.
And body building is more than just spending time in the gym, it’s about the time you spend in the kitchen, too.

Restaurants Downturn
Shop owners are feeling it. Big car companies are, too. Even the banks are hurting. People just aren’t spending money, and restaurants aren’t immune to the economic downturn. Especially the local mom and pop shops around Mid-Missouri.

Mizzou Archery
It’s a sport that’s often forgotten about, and it’s also a sport dominated by men. The University of Missouri has an archery club -- with one member that can really hang with the boys.
